Ms. Katie Adler, Headmistress
The idea for starting a Charm School first came to Ms. Katie as she contemplated the best way to teach her own two daughters about poise, confidence, manners and grace. She was surprised how limited the opportunities were for parents and their daughters in South Florida to find a fun way to learn and practice proper etiquette. Disappointed, she finally decided to draw on her own resources to create a uniquely wonderful educational experience for her daughters, as well as yours, by founding Miss Katie's Charm School.
Born in Chicago, Ms. Katie has lived in Florida for over 20 years. After graduating the University of Florida, she worked for many years in retail as a store manager for Burdines, Bonwitt Tellers, and Ann Taylor. Like many successful women, she began a loving family while balancing a professional career. Finally, in 1998 Ms. Katie pursued her own dream as an entrepreneur with the opening of the highly successful 918 Day Spa in the Shoppes of Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale. Her community involvement, which has included fundraising for the National M.S. Society and service on the boards of the Las Olas Association and Story Theater, Inc., earned her the distinction of being selected 2001 Woman of the Year.
